Work Visa Rules You Should Know

For those of you who want a life move from your homeland and find a place to improve your life, you have a great chance to improve your quality of life standards. In Australia, you can arrange your dreams to have a better life, even when you make the move, you should know that the Australian Government announces updates and changes to the temporary and permanent work visa program. This update aims to ensure that Australian workers are given priority over foreign workers in terms of filling in a work-related shortage of Australian-based skills. The Government announces that these changes are designed to ensure a fair and reasonable structure and system to bring in overseas skilled workers who enter Australia temporarily and ensure priority is given to Australian workers. Changes to the work visa program for the purposes of Migration Australia are as follows;

The 457 work visa is no longer available and has been replaced with Temporary Skill Shortage Visa TSS (subclass 482). Since March 18, 2018, foreign workers are no longer able to apply for a 457 visa. The maximum age for applicants for the Employment Nomination Scheme (subclass 186) and Visa Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (subclass 187) is a maximum of 45 years. Work experience required for Visa Employer Nomination Scheme applicants (subclass 186) and Visa Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (subclass 187) is at least 3 years old and minimum 2 years required for Temporary Skill Shortage Visa (subclass 482).

An Australian company that will sponsor a visa applicant must apply and be approved as a sponsor before being able to nominate a visa applicant. The Company shall also pay employee salaries in accordance with the salaries of Australian workers to such employees and meet Temporary Skilled Migration Income Threshold. Companies nominating visa applicants for ENS or RSMS Visa will be required to pay contributions to the Skilling Australians Fund. All applicants for the RSMS Visa via the DE (Direct Entry) line will be required to provide their skills assessment results. Only jobs are listed on the Medium and Long-Term Strategic Skills Shortage List (MLTSSL) available for Visa Employer Nomination Scheme (subclass 186) or Visa ENS. Many jobs have now been removed from this list.
